Indianapolis Restaurant Week Expands as Devour Indy and Now Serving Launch Today

Indianapolis diners have more ways to explore local restaurants this week as two citywide dining promotions begin Monday, Aug. 24. Devour Indy returns for its summer edition, while a new event called Now Serving gives additional restaurants and diners another reason to try something different across the Indianapolis area.

Both promotions run through Sept. 6, turning the final weeks of summer into one of the busiest stretches on the local dining calendar. For restaurants, the events offer a chance to attract new customers, fill tables during slower periods, and showcase menus to residents and visitors looking for their next favorite spot.

Two Dining Events, Two Different Approaches

Devour Indy is the established citywide dining experience, featuring participating restaurants across Indianapolis and nearby communities. Its summer lineup includes familiar names in neighborhoods ranging from downtown and Mass Ave to the city’s north side, with special menus designed to encourage diners to visit multiple locations during the two-week event.

Now Serving is entering the market with a different goal. Organized by the team behind the Epicurean international food festival and dinner series, the new “restaurant week for all” is designed to be more accessible to restaurants that may not fit the traditional requirements or scale of a large citywide promotion.

That distinction could be especially important for independent restaurants and smaller food businesses. A lower barrier to participation gives more local operators an opportunity to create a special menu, introduce their concept to new customers, and benefit from the attention surrounding restaurant week.
